Human Impact

This image shows the effects of human population on the environment by mapping the human footprint. As Earth's population rises, the impact of human activities becomes increasingly visible.  "Most environmentalists agree that many of Earth's environmental problems such as climate change, species loss, and resource degradation are exacerbated by population growth" ("The Effects of Population").
