MYP Science 5 | Applications of Biotechnology: Research Guide

Applications of Biotechnology

This image shows the different types of biotechnology. "Biotechnology contributes to the quality of life by leading to new medicines and improving food production. Environmental biotechnology now includes several areas of interest for the purpose of conserving endangered plant and animal species. White biotechnology may deliver the greatest rewards in the future by breaking industry's dependence on nonrenewable and pollution-causing fuels, hazardous chemicals, and energy-demanding operations" ("Types of Biotechnology").
